FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

LittleSitters is different to any other babysitting agency you may have seen or used before! So, to help you understand exactly what we do, we've compiled this list of frequently asked questions. If there's something else you'd like to know, please send us your question here

What age do you need to be to sign up as a sitter?
Sitters must be over the age of 18 to sign up to LittleSitters.

Is it flexible for sitters?

All sitters manage their own diary on the website so they choose their hours of availability. This works well for the sitters but also means the parents will only book someone that is available.

Are the sitters vetted?
All babysitters are interviewed, reference checked and trained.

Is there a minimum fee charge or a minimum time?

We recommend that parents book sitters for a minimum of 3 hours but this is not mandatory.

As a parent, do I have to pay to register and get more information?

Yes, as a parent you subscribe to the site to gain access to the directory. There is a search function before you sign up to allow you to see how many babysitters we have in your area. You can also check their availability on certain dates, however, you won't see any babysitter details until you sign up.

How long does it take to book a babysitter?

You can book a babysitter in three simple steps. Search, view, book! The search function allows you to search by location, date and time, then you view the profiles of available sitters. Once you've picked the one you would like, you simply click a button and the babysitter is contacted via text and will phone you back within two hours to confirm.

How do I pay for a sitter?

You pay the sitter directly in cash at the end of the job. A booking fee is paid as you book the sitter and this is deducted from the babysitters fee.

How much is a babysitter?

Each babysitter will display their rate on their profile so you will always know before you book. We recommend a minimum rate of €10 per hour.
